Ella Holidays

Far removed from the beaches and busier tourist areas of the south coast, the small village of Ella, located in the hinterland of the south-west of Sri Lanka, is surrounded by a landscape of deep valleys, waterfalls, rainforests and tea plantations. Ella is a paradise for hikers, and we can recommend several fine walks, the trail past waterfalls to the Ravana Caves being a particularly nice one. The best Ella holidays should also include tea tastings, Ayurvedic massages and more, but make sure to avoid the monsoon season from May to September.
