Namibia Visa Information:

British citizens visiting Namibia for up to 90 days for tourist purposes do not need a visa. However, there have been cases where travellers have only been granted permission to stay for seven days. Check you have been given permission to stay in Namibia for the entirety of your visit, and that you have a correctly-dated entry stamp, before you leave the immigration desk in the airport, as this will be checked on your departure.

Passport Validity for Namibia Travel:

Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival in Namibia and it should have at least one blank page. For further information, please check with the embassy.

Other Important Information:

There are many tight regulations in place when travelling to Namibia with anyone under the age of 18. You must take with you an original copy of the child’s birth certificate. Abridged birth certificates or those that do not list both parents’ names will not be accepted. For UK citizens, the child’s birth certificate and the Certified Copy of an Entry is best. For children travelling with anyone other than their biological parents, an affidavit from their legal guardian or parents giving consent to travel is required, as well as copies of their legal guardians’ or parents’ passports or identity documents and contact details. If a minor is travelling with just one parent, an affidavit giving consent to travel is needed from the other parent. If the parent is deceased, a death certificate is required. For anyone under the age of 18 travelling alone, contact details of the parents or legal guardian as well and an affidavit consenting to the minor’s travel must be presented. Contact details, including the address, passport or permanent residence permit, of the person receiving the minor is also required. For more information, and to check what is required for each circumstance, please check the High Commission of Namibia. You should carry some form of identification with you at all times when travelling in Namibia. It’s best to keep a photocopy of your passport with you and leave the original in your hotel safe.
