A Namibian dream

The Etosha region, the wilderness of Kaokoland and the Namib Desert : three unique stages that make up this journey rich in colour and emotion. After a quick stop in the capital Windhoek to recover from the flight and gently adapt to Namibian time, this journey offers the best of Namibia, the best way, with authentic experiences already included (sunset safari, 4x4 rides, campfire in the bush...) and others that can be tailored to suit.

This all makes for a dream itinerary, that isn't tiring, with comfortable transfers exclusively by taxi plane, an alternative to the 4x4 rental and helps cut out the long hours on the road to admire the stunning expanses of Namibia.
Whether In the city, in the bush, or in the dunes, we have selected refined, comfortable and exceptionally well-located accommodation, as well as rooms and tents that especially reflect the spirit of this trip. Not forgetting seamless logistics tailored to the unique nature of the country for really letting go: a personalised welcome on arrival, a briefing at the hotel, meals are taken care of and you'll have the assistance of our local Concierge service.

The trip includes...

The Etosha Region - It is one of the largest animal reserves in the world. In the rainy season, the vast salt desert of Etosha Pan is transformed into a lagoon full of flamingos. Its arid plains are home to more than 100 species of mammals. During your safaris in the Onguma Private Game Reserve, you may be lucky enough to see the continent's two species of rhinoceros, white and black.

Kaokoland - Located in the north-west of Namibia, on the border with Angola, Kaokoland is an arid, wild and inhospitable region, a bewitching vast mountainous wilderness that is best explored slowly along its trackways. The region is inhabited by the Himba people, one of the last remaining tribes in Africa to live self-sufficiently. This stage is rich in encounters and emotions, experienced from an isolated camp on the tree-lined banks of the Kunene River.

The apricot-hued dunes of the Namib Desert-, one of the world's oldest deserts, a near-perfect landscape of clean lines, an extraordinary range of colours: the apricot, orange and red hues of the sands and the intense blue sky. Sublime and unspoiled.

DAYS 3 & 4

Windhoek - Onguma & Etosha National Park

Transfer to Windhoek Eros Airport and air taxi to Ongava runway. People often forget that Namibia is also a major safari country, so it makes a great idea to stop by the Etosha Animal Park. Enjoy a two-night stay in one of the region's most beautiful addresses, a charming lodge nestled in the Onguma Private Game Reserve. The suites are spacious and perfectly integrated into their surroundings, and are set far back to guarantee guests' privacy. The swimming pool is especially welcoming after a safari ride, and private wooden terraces on which to relax and blend into nature, deckchairs at the ready.
Already included in the itinerary - A 4x4 sunset safari in Onguma Reserve, a first encounter with the abundant wildlife and the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and its changing colours - a trip with a ranger on the trail of the elusive black rhino, a great chance to take part in conservation project for the species.

DAY 5

Onguma - Kaokoland

Take a transfer and flight to Kaokoland, a beautiful region, far away from everything, the land of the Himba people, one of the last nomadic ethnic groups in Africa.
Enjoy a two-night stay in a stunning lodge on the Kunene River, on the edge of Skeleton Coast National Park. This exclusive camp with its luxury tents and chalets is a must because of its wilderness, comfort and isolation. A magical place far from everything. Amenities include a restaurant, bar, library and small pool.
Activities- A 4x4 safari in the dunes, a boat cruise on the Kunene looking for crocodiles, and a visit to Himba villages.

DAY 6

Kaokoland

An old territory of north-western Namibia created to accommodate Himbas driven from their land, Kaokoland is a preserved wilderness, a haven for wildlife that remains virtually untouched. Kaokoland is a secluded desert wilderness that requires a long journey to reach. It is ideal for sampling the red dunes of the Namib Desert, crossing vast expanses of rocks and sand where only hardy scrub survives or, in contrast, enjoying the coolness of the Ruacana Falls, the highest in the region, or Epupa Falls, with its 1,600ft-wide waterfalls. A trip to Kaokoland is all about going off the beaten track and having a colourful adventure.

DAY 7

The Namib Desert

Private transfer and taxi flight to Namib Desert and its orange sands. We arrive at the NamibRand Nature Reserve, one of southern Africa's largest private reserves, at the entrance of Namib Naukluft Park (the largest in the country at 21,000 square miles).
Enjoy a two-night stay in a unique camp in a stunning wild setting. The opportunity to live in harmony with the desert, comfortably ensconced in a tent perched on stilts, and looking out over the changes of light on the red dunes and the expanses of stones.
Already included - Full board in camp and two outings per day among the range of activities offered by the lodge: 4x4 safari, guided walk with a ranger, exploring the different faces of the Namib, and more.

DAY 8

The Namib Desert

On the edge of the Namib Desert - ending on a high. The NamibRand's prestigious private reserve offers a location between desert and mountains. The camp offers a blend of luxury, and peace and quiet, in perfect harmony with the desert. Just six tents, pitched on stilts and put down in the sand, sit at the top of a dune. It's simple but the private wooden terrace boasts a 360 degree view, out across the orange dunes, with the backdrop of the mountain range that runs through the reserve. In the morning, have lunch in the shade of acacias before setting off on foot or by 4x4 to explore the different sides of the Namib Desert. In the evening, enjoy the bush atmosphere around the campfire, sipping a drink while watching the starry sky.

Activities - Climbing the dunes to observe the colourful apricot landscape - a day's walk through the dune corridor between Sesriem and Sossusvlei - encounters with desert animals: oryx, springboks, ostriches, jackals, and other birds - having breakfast under a large acacia in the middle of the dunes - from its private wooden terrace, admiring the 360 degree view of the orange dunes set against the backdrop of the mountain range that runs through the reserve - al fresco dining lit by storm lanterns, contemplating the Namibian night.

DAYS 9 & 10

Sossusvlei - Windhoek - Return flight

Transfer to Sossusvlei airstrip and fly by taxi plane to Windhoek. Assistance with check-in and departure formalities, then international flight home. Overnight flight, arriving the next morning.
