Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

Fly to Marrakech

Rally the troops, because today you and your family are off to Marrakech. Hop in the car, head to the airport and speed through security before relaxing in the airport lounge. All the excitement will mean the short three-and-a-half-hour flight will fly by, and views of the Atlas Mountains will greet you as you land this afternoon. On arrival, you’ll be fast-tracked through the airport and privately transferred to your sumptuous resort hotel. There’s plenty here to keep the whole family entertained, so dump your bags, freshen up and get ready for an afternoon of relaxing within the resort’s Moroccan aesthetic.

DAY 2

Private tour of the Souk

Rise and shine and discover why a Moroccan breakfast is the best way to start the day – think freshly fried eggs with hunks of bread, pastries slathered with jam or msemen, a square crepe-like type of bread with soft cheese. After indulging, you’ll be privately transferred to the medina to begin your guided tour of the souk. Over the next four hours, watch local people selling fresh fruits, poultry and spices and admire djellaba (traditional robe) cutters and shoemakers at work. As one of the world’s most exotic marketplaces, there’s plenty of opportunity for the kids to splash their pocket money (and practice their haggling skills…) on colourful souvenirs.

At the end of the tour, a private transfer will take you to the horse and carriages lining the road by the main square. Pick your favourite horse and hop on board the carriage ready to be dropped off at Maison Arabe in the evening – just in time for dinner. Fill your rumbling bellies with chicken tagine, Moroccan meatballs or spicy shakshuka before being collected and whisked back to your resort for a good night’s sleep.

DAY 3

Le Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint-Lauren Museum

Put your curiosity caps on for today’s adventures, as we’ve secured you tickets to some of Marrakech’s hotspots: Le Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint-Lauren Museum. First up is Le Jardin Majorelle, an exotic botanical garden and artist’s landscape, filled with pastel plants and bold blue buildings. Within the garden you can explore the Museum of Berber, where a collection of artefacts showcases the Amazigh culture. Perhaps the garden’s most notable feature, aside from the captivating splashes of colour, is the owner: Yves Saint-Lauren. And, suitably, your next stop is at the Yves Saint-Lauren Museum, where carefully curated collections of clothing and accessories span 40 years of the iconic fashion designer. After brushing up on your fashion knowledge, ask your local Concierge to book you into a restaurant perfect for the whole family. Without the worry of debating over where to eat, you’ll have more time to discuss the day’s discoveries over dinner.

DAY 4

Explore the area

Your resort offers the perfect base to explore the city, escape to the Atlas Mountains or simply relax and escape the hustle and bustle, so we’ve left today free for you to spend how you please. Hike, camel ride or quad bike in the mountains, hop from food stall to food stall in the city’s main square or wander through the resort’s gardens before heading to the spa for a pamper (and to get some peace and quiet from the children…). Come early evening, you’ll be transferred from your resort to Riad El Fenn for rooftop drinks and dinner. We can assure you that dinner will taste even better while watching the sun sink into the terracotta skyline.

DAY 5

Buggy ride through Agafay desert

Set in hundreds of acres of red hills, the Agafay desert is a rocky force of nature. Set your alarms bright and early for a prompt pickup, because today you’re off on a buggy ride through this rugged landscape. With the snow-capped Atlas Mountains as a backdrop, feel the warm air whip around your hair as you roll through the desert. The photo opportunities are endless, so be sure to snap one as a family (perfect for this year’s Christmas card). Afterwards, park up and enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at Le Soukoune before being dropped back off at your resort.

DAY 6

Catch your flight to London

Savour one final morning in Marrakech before you begin your bittersweet journey home. A private transfer will pick you up in the afternoon, dropping you off at the airport with plenty of time to spare for your early evening flight. Spend the three-and-a-half-hour flight flicking through photos and sharing your favourite memories – don’t worry, you’ll get to enjoy some peace and quiet when the kids eventually hit the hay on the drive home from the airport...
