YOUR ACCOMMODATION IN MANHATTAN

The newest addition to the world-famous Ian Schrager's hotel group has moved south of Manhattan, at the crossroads of three iconic Downtown neighbourhoods: SoHo, East Village and the Lower East Side. Just a few steps away are beautiful cultural spots, such as the stunning architecture of the New Museum and the ICP (International Centre of Photography), and the greenery of Sara D. Roosevelt Park. In legendary New York, the hotel's goal is to offer a unique location combining refinement and simple design. One of the rooms inside is dedicated to art in all its forms, and acts as a gallery, a performance hall and a nightclub. There's a bar on the rooftop, where you can meet at sunset, with a cocktail in hand.
Comfort blends with state-of-the-art technology in the rooms, which are all reminiscent yacht cabins. What's special about this is that, instead of looking out onto the sea, it provides a view over a remarkable urban jungle through a large bay window. The hotel services don't stop there. Enjoy the Lounge Club and its fitness room, a yoga class or a meditation session on site. Bicycles are available for guests and from 8pm cookies and milk are waiting for you at Louis, a combination cafe, restaurant and grocery store.

IN YOUR NEW YORK ITINERARY

We have first scheduled an informal walk with a native New Yorker, to discover the Lower East Side, the neighbourhood at the bottom left of Manhattan. Though it has been the cradle of immigration since the 19th century, the L.E.S. was for a long time very run down. But now a younger generation, seeking to escape the overpriced rents downtown, has been in the driving seat, and it has become the major meeting place for a trend-setting generation of tattooed artists, hipsters and other fashionistas. Also included: your tickets for an out-of-the ordinary show, featuring all kinds of household objects used to create a rhythmical sequence. The collective, made up of artists who are at one and the same time actors, dancers and percussionists, convey overflowing energy without any dialogue. On site, you have unlimited-access public passes for public transport. Need advice? Looking for a last-minute reservation? Want to make a change to the itinerary? Our Concierge and team can be reached at any time to help you.

Sip tea in the MoMa Garden after visiting the exhibitions. Cycle across the Brooklyn Bridge and stroll through the Williamsburg flea markets. Visit the arty district of Tribeca. NEW YORK FROM ABOVE

The best way to take the pulse of New York? from above. The higher up you go, the easier it is to appreciate the size of the city, its skyscrapers and legendary bridges. Climb to the top of the Empire State Building or One World Observatory at dusk, when the city starts to light up, or take a helicopter ride to the Statue of Liberty, for 15 minutes of thrills. It's unforgettable.

Optional

THE CITY PASS - NEW YORK IN FREEDOM

New York has its must-sees sights. While some of the Big Apple's visitors roam the world's most famous museums (with MOMA and the MET the must-visits), others climb to the observatories of the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock, the two most beautiful terraces in Manhattan. Finally, a trip to New York would not be complete without a cruise on the bay to admire the skyline or to the Statue of Liberty, which never ceases to impress. All these entries are grouped together in the City Pass, so you can see the essentials in just days.
